This year our marina had more and bigger boats than ever thanks to improvements and additions in our dockage. Where to put the boats for winter storage? That’s a puzzle. On boat hauling days the boats just keep on coming out. Each one is a different size and shape. How are you going to fit them all into our parking area which we use for winter boat storage?
Our members with that job of figuring it all out are, Dan Galage, (right) and, Joe Falanga. Here you can seem them using a tape measure to see where the next boat should fit. They reminded me of load masters for a big plane or ship. Inches count and the boats end up fitting in as if pieces in a puzzle. It takes a lot of patience and know how. Thank you to Dan and Joe for all your hard work and dedication this hauling season.
Thank you to all the other lift operators and the members who spent time helping their fellow members get their boats out of the water and set for the winter.
This is the parking area at the club now filled with boats getting set for winter storage. Many boats are ready for shrink wrapping.
This is the lonely marina, probably wondering where all the boats have gone. If it could, it may be thinking similar thoughts of our members. How long to spring when we can bring the boats back.
