Cathy Nugent, Chairperson of the 2014 Newburgh Yacht Club Lobster Fest, held on September 20, thanked our members who came out and worked so hard to make this our best Lobster Fest ever.
She’s noted some special thanks and facts about the event below:
To Edward “Moon” Mullins and, Bobby Miller, thanks for the outstanding job with the cooking.
Peggy O’Neill thank you for your salads and shopping. Your saving me on many occasions was the best.
To Ed O’Neill for arranging for the large tent, porta pottie, beer and everything else you did.
Jack St. John on handling the parking. It was amazing.
Special thanks to Charles Lane for keeping all the reservations, money and me in order. Thanks to Joan Lane for her help and patience.
To Jim Distefano your personally designed and created clam shucking station was great.
To Donna Sabo and her lady’s for $2,300 profit on the raffles.
Thanks to John Betts for his donation of the heating oil prize from his company Eagle Oil in New Windsor and to Brian Pine for the donation of the Portable Generator which we raffled.
Thanks to my wonderful committee. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this event. We wouldn’t had our success without you.

We also want to thank Skip and Kathy Prodigo of the Coxsackie Yacht Club for attending our Lobster Fest. They came by boat and stayed in our marina. We appreciated having them and members of other yacht and boating clubs in attendance.
