Boating and PWC Course Planned at Newburgh Yacht Club

The Newburgh Yacht Club has contacted the US Coast Guard Auxiliary to hold a Boating/PWC Personal Watercraft Licensing Course at our club.

• The course will be open to anyone 14 years of age or older.
• It will be given in two 4 hour sessions.
• Saturday June 18 and Sunday June 26
• Both days will be from 10:00 a.m.  to 2:00 p.m.
• You MUST attend both sessions of 4 hours each for a total of 8 hours to qualify.
• The cost is $25.00 per person.  Which includes all necessary materials.
• This course is valid nationwide.

Please note that New Jersey and other states require this Coast Guard Auxiliary boating safety course to operate any watercraft within the boundaries of that state.  The NY State Parks & Recreation boating safety  certificate,  according to the Coast Guard Auxiliary, is not valid outside of New York state. If you plan to operate any watercraft outside of NY, this certificate or one issued by that particular state may be  required.  The Coast Guard Auxiliary requires at least 10 participants to run this course.
