Even some last minute snowy weather couldn’t keep our Newburgh Yacht Club members and guests from this family style dock party. Guests were greeted by basically one very long table with red checkerboard covering. It was set with wine, salad, and an antipasto of sliced prosciutto, salami, cheeses, olives and other tasty bites .
Next came the Pasta e Fagioli Soup. It was served to the guests. This is something Chairman Gilbert Scarazzini wanted to make a part of this party. Family Style Serving. There would be no standing in buffet lines for this party. The members appreciated the change and took the time to enjoy the food and conversations.
From the Italian Style Roast Pork, Porchetta, to the Salmon a L’orange the praise for the delicious food goes to the culinary skills of Gil and his crew of helpers and servers.
This wonderful meal was topped off with a dessert the members are still talking about. It was pears poached in white wine served on vanilla ice cream topped with raspberry sauce.
