At the Newburgh Yacht Club members support the club by doing a set number of work hours each year benefiting the club. The work can be done completing a wide variety of jobs from taking care of the club’s grounds to cleaning inside its clubhouse. There’s also lots of projects and tasks on the docks and marina. Right now most work hours are being completed Saturday mornings. Here’s some pictures and videos from recent work sessions.
Check out one of our members making quick work of leveling the parking lot gravel with his skid-steer.
John Disciglio, our Top Banana Operator was probably moving the equipment so quickly because he had just spent a considerable amount of time in a stationery spot. He had set up his equipment for mulching tree trimmings and fallen branches in our upper parking lot . Fellow club members getting their work hours helped load the mulching machine.
John’s connection to bananas is that he’s the owner of the Newburgh Banana Company. John, thank you for bringing your equipment and doing a great job helping during the work program.
Have you seen how nice the front of our clubhouse looks? Thanks to Diane and Brian Pine for donating and installing these lovely flowering baskets. Diane and Brian put them up on the first day of the work program. Our members and guests will enjoy them all summer long.
Here are a few more pictures from the work program.
