Working Together, Our Fall Clean Up Day Was Successful

A Full Crew, Encountering Rain Showers, Got the Jobs Done.

All Hands Were on Deck as members of the Newburgh Yacht Club turned out in force for our Fall Clean Up Day.

Check-in time was 8:00 a.m. Members got to work handling a lengthy list of jobs getting the marina ready for the winter.

Bringing in the Gas Dock–moving it from being totally exposed to the river in front of the yacht club to a calmer spot inside our marina.
Installing Drift Fencing to help keep driftwood from floating into the parking and boat storage area at high tide.

Other jobs included:

Adjusting the B /C Docks for Winter Icing

Blowing out the water lines to docks to prevent freezing

Collection of the In-Water Circulators in the marina.

Winterizing the Gasoline and Deisel Pumps

Cleaning and Fixing Up

Taking Down the Canopy at Commodore’s Point

Lunchtime

At the end of the workday, a delicious lunch was served.
