The more than 70 members and guests who came said it was great to be able to be together again. This was the first social gathering for the club in more than a year. Last year’s Commodore’s Ball had to be cancelled because of Covid 19. This event was held at the Powelton Club in Newburgh on June 26, 2021.
The evening began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The cocktail shrimp, crab cakes, prosciutto wrapped asparagus and Swedish Meatballs were highlights. The dinner buffet featuring sirloin roast beef, chicken cutlets, salmon and orecchiette pasta was delicious.
Many of the members were impressed with the venue and commented on the excellent service.
Commodore Disciglio, during his remarks thanked the officers, directors and members who did so much this year to improve our clubhouse, marina and grounds. He also thanked Angela, Galli, Gina Cea, Michelle Galage, Linda Dombroski and his wife Carolyn and his daughter Adrianna for providing the decorations and helping with the arrangements for the ball.

The Commodores Ball was a huge success. Everything from Poweltons fine catering hall, food and the great club members attending. It was just a top notch function. I know I haven’t been a member for many years but am proud to be a member of the Newburgh Yacht Club and associated with a fine group of members. Hats off for one fine job!!! Nice job Art!!!
