Freedom Flotilla Welcomed at Commodore’s Point

Commodore Greg Dombroski (left) is leading members of the Newburgh Yacht Club saluting the 2016 Freedom Flotilla.  It came up the river to the Newburgh Beacon Bridge and swung around passing in front of our club's Commodore's Point at 1:00 Saturday afternoon July 23, 2016. Members of the Newburgh Yacht Club gave a patriotic welcome to the more than 20 boats in the 2015 "Salute to Freedom" Flotilla as they passed by our Commodore's Point on Saturday July 11, 2015. The lead boat upon seeing our flag wavers and hearing our cheers gave a loud "Thank You Newburgh" over it's public address/hailing system. 15 or more boats took part in the flotilla on Saturday afternoon July 12, 2014.
