Newburgh Yacht Club Members and their guests, including Commodore Greg Dombroski, were all smiles enjoying the perfect weather for our 2017 Commodore’s Cruise. Sunny skies, calm winds and a temperature of about 70-degrees made for delightful cruising.
The Pride Of The Hudson left the Blue Pointe Dock on Front Street on Saturday evening May 20th for the cruise which went to West Point and returned. Most onboard spent the time on the outside upper deck enjoying the beautiful weather.
During a onboard ceremony just before dinner, Commodore Greg, thanked the committee for the event with special mention to Chairperson, Peggy O’Neill.
Past Commodore, Garry Dugan, was presented with the honor of Life Membership in our club during the ceremony.
Member Tom Costa, Proprietor of the North Plank Road Tavern, in honor of Commodore Greg and his wife Linda, donated the Cheese Boards and Vegetable Platters which were served as appetizers. A buffet dinner was served , catered by Mama Theresa’s.
Following the cruise the members returned to the clubhouse for coffee and a delicious carrot cake made by Cindy Chesser.
