Dave Boswell (left) was the only new person added to the Officers and Directors of the Newburgh Yacht Club for 2023. Boswell was elected Purser replacing Frank Galli (right) who decided to retire after serving more than 15 years in a variety of positions including Fleet Captain and Purser.
Commodore John Disciglio led the club in a round of well deserved applause for the dedicated service Frank has given to the club.
Officers reelected for 2023 were Commodore John Disciglio, Vice Commodore Chris Carfora, Secretary Stu Keeler, Treasurer Steve Rockafellow, and Fleet Captain Mike Cahill.
Directors elected to a 2 year term were: Bill Chesser, Joe Esposito and Dan Galage
The following Directors will be completing the second year of their two year terms in 2023. They are Bob Chesser, Jim Jankun and Ed O’Neill..
Ed O’Neill was presented with his Newburgh Yacht Club Life Membership pin at the meeting.
Ed is a past commodore and a go to person for knowledge about our club, its grounds and many mechanical systems. Congratulations to Ed.
Save the Date—Christmas Party
Mark your calendars for Saturday night December 3, 2022 for the Newburgh Yacht Club Christmas Party. It’s going to be held at Pamela’s on the Hudson.
You’ll be getting an email with full details soon including a signup form.
Features of the evening will include Passed Appetizers. Shrimp cocktail, fried calamari, cocktail meatballs and Brie and Raspberry Tartlets are on the menu.
The main meal will be a buffet which will include Marinated Flank Steak, Boneless Breast of Chicken Marsala, Grilled Salmon, and Butternut Squash Ravioli.

Club Burgee presented to Mike Paquette, Sr
Vice Commodore Chris Carfora (left rear) and Commodore John Disciglio (right rear) are all smiles with Mike Jr. (left) and Mike Sr. Paquette (right). Mike Sr is one of our newest members. He just brought his boat here from Staten Island where he was a boater for many years. A club membership burgee was presented to him by Membership Chairman Bob Chesser during the meeting.

This is our Fall Clean Up Day. Work Chairman Joe Pillitteri is in charge. Members must report at 8:00 a.m.
