Welcome the “Salute to Freedom” Flotilla

Saturday at the Newburgh Yacht Club

Members of the Newburgh Yacht Club; their families and guests are invited to come out and welcome the “Salute to Freedom” Flotilla as it makes a special pass by the club on Saturday, July 11, 2015.

Last year our club gave an impressive salute to the flotilla, this year we’re hoping to do the same.

The flotilla is scheduled to pass by the Newburgh Yacht Club between 12:50 and 1:05 PM.

Our members should arrive at Commodore”s Point at 12:40 PM.

The club will provide flags to wave to all participants.

More than 15 boats are scheduled to be in the event sponsored by the Cotland Yacht Club  in conjunction with the Elks Club of Ossining.      Groups of Wounded Warriors, their families as well as a number of Gold Star Families and Purple Heart Recipients will be aboard the boats.

This is an annual event in which the community can show its support to these military members, and their and families for their service and sacrifices.

We hope to see you at Commodore’s Point Saturday to help welcome the “Salute to Freedom” Flotilla.
