Sunday June 7th 10:00 a.m.
The Blessing of the Fleet marks the official start of the boating season at the Newburgh Yacht Club. It opens with a flag ceremony involving the Commodore, flag officers, and club directors at memorial point.

A Boat Parade follows, where participants pilot their boats on the river, each passing in front of the crowd to receive applause as they and their boat are announced.

Deacon Peter Haight blesses the boats as they go by and continues the Blessing Service which concludes with a memorial service. We remember club members and immediate family who have passed during the last year. A flower is placed in the river for each of those honored.
A delicious brunch is served in the clubhouse, featuring fruits, cheeses, eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes, baked goods, juices, and more. Adults can enjoy Champagne and Orange Juice Mimosas.

This is a catered event, and we need to give a final attendance count. Please send your checks so the arrive at the club by June 1.
